The Opportunity.

Alamy is embarking on an exhilarating journey of digital transformation to propel our growth in the dynamic realm of visual content, including cutting-edge AI image generation and manipulation. This presents a unique opening for an astute global leader like you. As Director of Technology & Product, you'll shape the product and technology vision, driving it forward with the unwavering support and guidance of our colleagues at the Group level (Alamy is part of PA Media Group).

In this pivotal role, you'll seamlessly engage with Board-level executives while diving into the intricacies to ensure optimal business outcomes. With teams spanning India and the UK, you'll embark on frequent international travels, showcasing your influential leadership across borders. Your success will be gauged by your ability to engage stakeholders effectively and deliver outcomes in sync with agreed KPIs.

Your Responsibilities.

As the torchbearer of Alamy's technology and product operations, you'll chart the course for our product roadmap and platform performance. You'll directly lead our Heads of Technology, Product, and Technology (India), along with the Head of Search & SEO. As an indispensable member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll contribute to our company's vision, direction, and strategy, seamlessly integrating these values into your departments.

With a global reach encompassing India, the UK, and nearshore tech teams in Eastern Europe, you'll champion engagement, high-performance, innovation, and seamless delivery. You'll meticulously craft and steer Alamy's technology and product strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and senior colleagues, all while maximising resource efficiency. Your prowess will shine as you set and fulfil budgets, meeting both immediate and long-term company needs while delivering the required outcomes.

Compelling communication of our technology and product strategy will be your forte – you'll be the bridge between peers, leadership at our parent company PA Media Group, staff, stakeholders, and customers. Staying current with technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies, you'll represent the business at the highest level with external partners, magnifying our business impact.

Essential Criteria.

Seasoned experience at Director level across technology and product. A proven track record in navigating complex transformation and migration programs. Global commercial exposure, including international travel and cross-territory management. In-depth familiarity with agile product discovery and delivery methodologies. Demonstrated ability to scale organizations seamlessly in capability, capacity, and sales. Extensive expertise in software design, development, and CX management. A strong grasp of technological and commercial trends, coupled with visionary thinking. Proven budget management, business planning, and forecasting skills. Diverse technology exposure, spanning legacy platforms, .Net, OSS, Search, and AI. Tangible experience in migrating organisations to the cloud, leveraging platforms such as AWS, commerce tools, Contentful, and MACH.
