Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We are 4 gentleman at Grangefield. We all get along and ages range from 30s – 60s. We are all independent and can move around our home with no support We all love to go places together. Some of us work and others attend shaw trust. On the evening we all take a turn cooking tea with the support from staff. This is when we all come together from our busy days. It is important that we remain in close contact with our families and loved ones. We are a social bunch of lads and love to be out and about in our local community. Some of us love music, and one of us loves cars We enjoy playing pool, going to the pub for darts and long walks in the summer time Is a two storey, semi detached house. The property is of traditional masonry type construction with brick walls with a tiled pitched roof above main House. UPVC doors and windows are installed throughout. To the rear is an enclosed garden and patio area. Staff that support us usually work a 12-hour day shift. We do not require any overnight support. We all have 1:1 hours that require another member of staff to support on the planned days In order to support us to have the best life possible our team has specialized training in all the areas we require Your values: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
