We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Healthcare team team at HMP Sudbury a category D prison near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. This prison supports around 600 male patients, many of whom have complex physical health and low level mental health needs. As part of this role you will be completing referrals to hospital and external service for patients who are reintegrating back into the community.

Hours

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (hours are noticeable)

We may also be able to offer some evenings and weekends

Salary

This is a bank role with a salary of £95 per hour

Main duties of the job

Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment. Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.
