About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Lead to join our team. As the Finance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes managing budgets, generating financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. You will play a vital role in shaping the financial landscape of NOVA and driving growth through effective financial management. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the company's financial operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting whilst adhering to financial regulations and company policies.
  • Create and deliver forecasts to support the company's growth strategy.
  • Design and roll out scalable processes, controls and systems which are aligned with business goals, utilising technology for automation where feasible.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams to drive process improvements and optimise financial performance
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors to facilitate smooth financial operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, carve out your role as a future leader of the business

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant: You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role
  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to provide meaningful insights to the management team
  • Financial modelling experience: ability to create complex and well structured financial models to support strategic decision making.
  • Experience with Financial Systems: Proficiency in using accounting software (we use Xero) and advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis
  • Adaptability and Problem-solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and solve complex financial challenges
  • Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and high standards of integrity in financial management
  • Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships
