Do you believe in the power of creativity and sensory exploration to unlock potential?
We are not just a school—we’re a community that celebrates individuality, nurtures growth, and transforms challenges into opportunities. We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic PMLD Teacher to lead vibrant, sensory-rich, and thematic learning experiences for our remarkable students.

About Us

Located in Bolton BL2, our specialist secondary school dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment for young people with complex learning needs including Autism, Global Development Delays, MLD, PMLD (profound and multiple learning disabilities) and other SEN. We take pride in crafting lessons that are as unique as our students, helping them thrive and shine in their own extraordinary ways.

Your Role

As a SEN Teacher, you’ll be the creative force behind sensory-led, activity-based lessons. This is not a “one-size-fits-all” classroom—it’s a space where themes come alive, where learning is experienced through all the senses, and where every achievement is celebrated.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering immersive, sensory-rich lessons that cater to individual abilities and needs.
  • Using a thematic approach to make learning engaging, meaningful, and memorable.
  • Collaborating closely with dedicated teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create holistic learning plans.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils to foster trust, confidence, and a love for learning.
  • Monitoring progress, celebrating successes, and continuously adapting to best support each learner.
About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring both heart and innovation to this role. You’ll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for sensory and activity-based learning.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a sense of humor.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
Experience in special education or working with complex needs is an advantage, but above all, we value your willingness to learn and grow with us.
Why Choose Us?
  • A welcoming and supportive team who are as passionate as you are.
  • The chance to transform lives through creativity, innovation, and compassion.
  • A school culture that values well-being, collaboration, and mutual respect.
