As a Crisis Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused service to individuals who have a range of mental health and autistic traits as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion.With experience of working within a community based, mental health setting, you should be able to inspire, engage and motivate people.
Main duties of the job

Ramsgate Safe Haven is seeking evening staff to cover a 365 day service. The service will be providing a crisis alternative to A&E through non-clinical, person centred support and recovery interventions. About the roleAs a Crisis Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused service to individuals who have a range of mental health and autistic traits as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion.With experience of working within a community based, mental health setting, you should be able to inspire, engage and motivate people. With the proven ability to identify barriers, understand need and support people to achieve their goals the role will include one to one engagement, facilitating activities within the service and community, administrative tasks, sign posting and engaging people in other provision. You will work alongside Peer Support Workers (PSW) and other Crisis Recovery Workers to give the best person-centered care with the clients for their recovery, whether that be joint working with other services to support them to make reasonable adjustments or PSW so patients can learn and practice skills.* You will be part of a small team supporting people in a crisis drop-in centre.* We are a non-clinical service, providing support to reduce immediate distress to those at risk of self-harm, suicide or experiencing trauma.* Our service provides information, safety planning and signposting for individuals, their families and carers to meet their holistic needs.* You will work closely with mental health primary and secondary care, emergency services, partners agencies. About youYou will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand individual needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills. This will include one to one engagement and facilitating group-based activities, sign posting and engaging people in mainstream provision.You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required for the role. Due to the nature of the post, a full driving license and access to transport will be essential. It is essential that you hold a Health and Social Care level 2 or level 3 and be willing to develop further as the role requires.
