Head of Care/ Registered Manager – Southlands School

Southlands School is an Ofsted-registered co-education specialist day and residential school with a registered children’s home.  We provide education and care, supported by our multi-disciplinary clinical team, for children and young people aged 7-19 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism or whose profile of need can be successfully supported by the use of autism specialist strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the whole of the care provision and working closely with the Responsible Individual. This is a unique opportunity to not only manage and enhance the quality of care for our children but also to play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of our services.

Working closely with the Regional Managers, you will develop strategic growth plans for the home, you will also lead and manage the staff team to fulfil and deliver the agreed plans.

As a registered manager you will be level 5 qualified with experience in ASD and managing change. You will be responsible for delivering, in line with the statement of purpose, high quality care that remains fully compliant with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and associated legislation, statutory guidance and inspection frameworks. Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of residential special schools, and working in a larger environment.
