Merchant Services Coordinator

Based in our Reading Office and reporting into the PCI Compliance Manager, this role primarily facilitates daily operational activities with acquirers/merchant banks to support WSH brands and locations. Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Configuration of new acquirers and partners on company platforms
- Placing orders with acquirers and coordinating deliveries to sites and on boarding/configuration details. Liaise closely with EPOS/IT teams
- Assistance with configurations of new POS (Point of Sale) terminal at customer sites
- Communication with acquirers and partners in daily operational issues
- Collaborating with other department to resolve problems, facilitate solutions and enhanced service delivery
- Providing prompt and courteous services to all internal and external customers
- Keep the Asset Registers up to date for PCI compliance
- Assist with KYC procedures for periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

- Co-ordinate returns of terminals and cancellations of contracts, liaising with operators
- Monthly review of acquirer invoices to ensure contracted rates are maintained
- Manage any periodic rollout programs for updates to the fixed asset estate
- Participate in the delivery of various internal finance projects and initiatives with internal finance teams i.e Kyriba TMS, AR Blackline
Qualifications
What we want from you:
- Merchant experience in a corporate environment is essential
- Experience with acquiring portals, along with POS Systems advantageous
- A good understanding of PCI Compliance programs
- Knowledge of interactions with other finance areas such as Treasury, Bank Accounting team, Client Accounting team, Business Finance Directors on merchant settlements is essential
- Ability to apply merchant bank card processing transaction knowledge to reconciliations of settlements is also desired
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Resolution and task management skills
- Critical thinking (innovation/proactiveness)
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Not afraid to challenge 'Status Quo' on processes, protocols and procedures on existing environment
- The ability to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
