Job summary

We are looking for anexperienced Dietitian to provide clinical leadership for the Nutrition andDietetic Service following the retirement of the current post holder. The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Nutrition andDietetic Service provides Dietetic Care and support for adult and paediatricpatients in both acute and community settings and successfully manages theNutritional Prescribing Service for both acute and primary care acrossRotherham. The successful candidate will have an opportunityto gain leadership experience at a senior level and to represent the trust atlocal and regional Nutrition and Dietetic forums/meetings. The role will also provide the opportunity to workin partnership with leadership colleagues including but not exclusively SeniorManagement teams within the Community Care Group, Trust, GPs, Consultants,Commissioners, Nursing, referring hospitals, Universities and voluntaryagencies. The ability to work with these teams and represent dietetics isessential.

Main duties of the job

Displaysenergy and passion in the pursuit of service excellence and delivery of apositive patient experience Can supportthe Nutrition and Dietetic Service to meet challenging targets and objectives Can evidenceup to date relevant dietetic clinical experience and skills Has acommitment to developing the professional and clinical skills of others Can evidencethe ability to initiate and implement service developments Demonstratesan understanding of current NHS agenda and its impact on clinical, professionaland business requirements The job plan for the role has the option of up totwo clinical session per week. The successful candidate will receive regularsupervision and be part of a supportive clinical leadership team.

Diploma/Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 Post-graduate qualifications relevant to Dietetic speciality to Masters level or equivalent Management/leadership qualification or equivalent
