Childrens Home Managers inWalsall: We are recruiting a Registered Childrens Home Manager inthe West Midlands.


  • Are you anexperienced Care Manager within Childrens Services that would liketo mold the systems and processes from scratch using yourexperience knowledge andvalues
  • Haveyou been frustrated by systems and processes that may not beefficient andeffective
  • Doyou want to show how well you can set up and run a Childrens Carehome with full support from the Responsible Individual andOwners
  • Wouldyou like to be recognised for the results you achieve rather thanrelying on other people sperformance


We need somebody to lead the Ofstedregistration and to be responsible for the management andoperational delivery for a childrens home ranging from 8 to 18 withmoderate learning difficulties LD and moderate behaviouraldifficulties.


The home is a brand new building in avery nice residential area and the residents there are happy for achildrens home to be there a couple of the local residents dofostering themselves for children withLD.


Role


  • To lead anddirect others to provide person centred support to young peoplewith Learning Disabilities and moderate behaviouraldifficulties.
  • Towork alongside the RI Head of Operations (Social Care) and Directorof Social care to review monitor and plan residential services andto work on Improvement Plans and overall strategicdirection.
  • Toensure that all children and young people are suitably included andconsulted in anything and everything to do with their dailyliving.
  • Tofacilitate a safe homely welcoming environment for children andyoung people and to immediately address anything that may bedetrimental tothis.
  • Tolead a team providing personalised support to children and youngpeople in line with Diamond Residential Care Group s Policies andProcedures.


Requirements

Experienceand Qualifications


  • NVQ level 3 orequivalentLevel.
  • 5Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness toachievethis.
  • Experienceof working with children and/or adults with disabilities at aseniorlevel.
  • Candemonstrate knowledge and understanding of operational managementwithin serviceprovision.
  • Knowledgeof the Children s Homes Regulations (2015) and the Social CareCommon InspectionFramework.
  • Aworking understanding of relevant legislation and policies such asChildren and Families Act 2014 Health and Social Care SafeguardingPerson CentredPlanning.
  • Knowledgeof care standards and the requirements ofOFSTED.


SpecialRequirements


  • Full manualdriving licence valid for UK(Desirable)
  • Mustbe able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends andavailable to be part of the oncallrota.
