This varied role puts you in contact with colleagues from across our SSEN ED2 framework, providing support to the commercial and operational teams by reviewing and understanding the requirements of tender documents, agreeing and signing off specific resource requirements and outputs.
We’ll look for you to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders, both office and site based, facilitating smooth communications and information transfers. You’ll ensure prices related to goods and services are fully understood and accurate, reviewing pricing schedules to understand the aspects like bill of quantities, fee tables and costs of resources for all activities.
We’re looking for Procurement managers and true collaborators, with attention to detail:
• Building up the price of a scheme consisting of a blend of self-delivered works and utilisation of our supply chain partners
• Producing and communicating the requirements of the tender documents
• Attend site visits with the assigned bid team and supply chain
• Production and management of the risk register associated with supply chain works
• Compiling pricing clarifications and procurement schedules
• Production of the tender breakdown for adjudication and attendance at the board presentations
• Amendments in accordance with agreements and scope change
• Contributing to post tender negotiations and review of pricing
• Assurance of compliance to engineering standards
• Providing feedback and negotiations with supply chain
• Providing evidence and assurance to clients on conformity.
Experience Required:-
• Knowledge and understanding of NEC Contract processes
