Job summary

We would like to appoint an AssistantPsychologist to work in the Adult Mental Health (AMH) Neighbourhood MentalHealth Services (NMHS) in Worcestershire. Weare a pilot site for the Transformation Model working in the communityconsidering local need and linking with community services.

We welcome applications for full/parttime working. We provide face to face and virtual interventions as clinicallyappropriate. We value our psychologyteam and provide professional development and wellbeing/support opportunities.

TheNMHS teams have integrated psychological pathways for individuals withmoderate/severe, severe/enduring, psychosis/bipolar and emotionally unstablepresentations. The post holder will be supported to apply Clinical andCounselling Psychology core values with respect to their working practice,linked with a diverse service user group and with a range of complex mentalhealth needs.

Main duties of the job

This 12-month fixed-term post is integral to the NMHS,working to assist with and contribute to the psychology service delivery.

The post holder will be given the opportunity to engageservice users in psychological interventions within Clinical and CounsellingPsychology theoretical frameworks.

They will predominantly be supporting, delivering andauditing psychologically informed virtual and face to face group interventions.

They will also work with Clinical and CounsellingPsychologists delivering Applied Psychology interventions and ways of workingand promoting trauma-informed care in the NMHS.

They will be supported by regular supervision with a HCPCRegistered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist. They will be provided with guidance to developa portfolio to support future professional training applications.

Essential

A good understanding of the needs and difficulties of patients within the specified service area Knowledge and awareness of evidence-based practice relating to patients within the specified service area, including psychological assessment and therapy techniques Graduate knowledge of research design and methodology

Qualifications

BSc/BA Honours Degree at 2:1 or above in Psychology Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
