Job summary

An exciting opportunity for two band 7 project leads to join our North East London (NEL) Diagnostics Programme.

The post holder will provide support to the NEL diagnostics programme team to ensure project and governance support is provided to implement the ambitions of the NEL programme and its objectives.

About Us o NHS NEL's diagnostics programme sits within the NEL acute provider collaborative (APC)) department and works in partnership with the NEL hospital Trusts and system Its objective is to support partners across the North East London Health and Care Partnership to plan, design, and deliver the diagnostic services necessary to drive meaningful improvements in health, wellbeing, and equity for all of north east London's residents. It will also measure, and support teams to The programmes work covers three overarching functions:o Delivery of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs): Developing the two planned CDC sites at Mile End Hospital and Barking Community Hospital and to plan for and implement any additional CDC Management of the NEL diagnostic networks: Working collaboratively across NEL and with system and Trust leads to develop diagnostic networks for imaging, endoscopy and physiological Diagnostics performance and recovery: Responsible for the diagnostics performance across NEL and working in collaboration to identify issues, develop solutions and implement service improvements when necessary.

Main duties of the job

The Project Lead will sit within the APC Diagnostics Programme Team, which is responsible for the planning, delivery, recovery and implementation of diagnostics services across NEL. The post holder will:o Support the team to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered Provide project support for the NEL diagnostic clinical pathways work working in partnership with clinical and Trust Support the delivery of project plans, which could include working with key stakeholders across the NEL ICB in the delivery of challenging Produce regular reports and escalating issues of concern where appropriate. This will include the production of monthly monitoring reports in line with an agreed time table of Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and Contribute to strategy and operational policies for promoting efficient and effective working;o Develop and apply new initiatives or projects as Engage with system and provider colleagues and clinical care professionals.

Essential

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area

Knowledge & Experience

Experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments Experience of managing risks and reporting Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes

Desirable

Experience working with hospitals and Trust clinical leads.
