An exciting Band 6 role has arisen within Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join a new rotation. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career and to gain specialist clinical skills, support and supervise others and participate in service development.
Main duties of the job
The rotations will be 9 months and include:
Stroke Neuro Rehab Trauma and Orthopaedics Medical & Surgical Elderly CareYou will need to be able to work in a fast paced and busy environment, have excellent communication skills and have experience of an acute hospital setting.

Essential
Diploma/Degree in Occupational therapy HCPC Registration
Desirable
Member of Professional Body Member of special interest group Post-graduate training in relevant short courses
Experience
Essential
Post qualification experience in a physical setting Evidence of personal and professional development Experience in working as part of an MDT Experience of leading and influencing others, including OT colleagues Experience in leading and contributing to Audit Experience in service improvement An understanding of common medical, and surgical conditions, care of the elderly, neurology, trauma and orthopaedics Application of OT theory in the treatment of medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neurology, care of the elderly conditions in an inpatient setting

Experience of acute in patient treatment Supervision of junior staff and students
