If you are passionate about engaging with young minds and creating a meaningful difference in their lives, this Graduate Teaching Assistant position could be the perfect launchpad for your career

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will help teachers deliver lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, assisting students with their learning in different subjects. You will play a role in creating a fun and engaging classroom atmosphere, providing support to students while gaining practical experience in a secondary school. This position is perfect for graduates who want to build their skills and knowledge while helping students succeed.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery to enhance the learning experience.
  • Support individual students and small groups to reinforce understanding and promote academic progress.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with students requiring additional support to ensure their needs are effectively met.
  • Provide insightful feedback to teachers regarding student progress and development.
  • Assist in classroom management and behaviour support as needed.
  • Support students during extracurricular activities and school trips to enrich their educational experience.

Requirements of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • A degree in any discipline.
  • A strong passion for working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and foster positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential
