The role
As a Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Do you want a role which you can shape? Do you want to be part of a growing business? Do you want to contribute to the training and development of personnel which ensure the safety and security of the UK and overseas partners? The procurement and supply chain (P&SC) function is currently undergoing a transformation which will enable the successful candidate to become part of, and shape, a ‘best in class’ function.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee the delivery of high-quality procurement and supply chain support across a number of fascinating contracts which primarily deliver specialist training for our customers across the military and emergency services. You’ll also hold the role of Deputy Head of Procurement and Supply Chain, covering all Head of Department responsibilities as required. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Head of to shape, develop and progress the P&SC department, whilst also acquiring the experience to progress into senior management roles within the organisation in the future.
Deliver high-quality P&SC support across multiple military and emergency service training support contracts Active member of the operational senior leadership teams, ensuring that P&SC priorities are represented Ownership of key projects to improve the support and value that P&SC deliver to the business Departmental champion for commercial and contracts offering advice and counsel to other team members on operational matters, whilst developing the wider commercial and contracting acumen of the P&SC teamThis role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite at either our Portsmouth or London office and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Manager:
Extensive Commercial and contracts acumen with previous experience in a Commercial or Contract Management role or placing contracts with suppliers. Extensive stakeholder management experience Supplier performance management experience – improving relationships and focusing on operational delivery Full UK Driving LicenceQualifications for the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Manager:
