Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Category Lead to join our client's team for an initial engagement.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in reshaping and executing a new procurement strategy and operational framework.Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate outstanding supply agreements to maximize organizational value.
- Direct the commercial strategy for a wide array of procurement categories, including Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities Management.
- Ensure exceptional value from primary suppliers, managing the Vendor Management Framework to guarantee optimal performance.- Collaborate with Directors and Contract Managers, offering expert advice on procurement and supplier-related issues.
- Produce a monthly report detailing completed commercial agreements.
- Facilitate contract finalization, adopting a balanced approach to risk management while coordinating with Legal, Data Protection, Information Security, and Finance teams to ensure robust contracts.
- Actively participate in the successful implementation of the Procurement Transformation initiative.Qualifications and Expertise:
- Proven success in senior procurement category management roles.
- Proficient in contract evaluation and modification, with a solid understanding of contract law principles.
- Experience in Marketing Procurement is essential.
- Demonstrates strong commercial insight and the capability to secure advantageous agreements.
- Possesses excellent communication and relationship management skills, effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Thrives in a dynamic environment and is a proactive self-starter with a strong commitment to excellence.
