We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

About the school

The school itself caters for pupils with a range of needs including
SEMH, ADHD, Attachment and Behaviour issues. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting KS3 and 4 Students within the classroom and on a 1:1 Basis.

All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils.

Person Specification

  • Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one. 
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
  • Good organization and multitasking abilities
