a Cash Accountant to join our team.



As a Cash Accountant, you will play a crucial role in
ensuring the highest standards of control in allocating, managing, and
reconciling our multiple group bank accounts and sales ledger. Your efforts
will drive efficiency improvements, helping us achieve best-in-class financial
control.



 Responsibilities




  • Cash
    Allocation & Management:     Accurately allocate cash received,
    identify the source of funds, and ensure all sums are posted to the
    correct accounts. Initiate queries on unidentifiable items as appropriate.
  • Bank
    Reconciliation:     Perform weekly reconciliations of all bank accounts,
    investigate and resolve unidentified items, and ensure reconciliations are
    formally signed off in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Reporting
    & Forecasting:     Maintain daily records of cash received, update the
    cash flow forecast with actual bank transactions, and assist in improving
    cash flow forecasting.
  • System
    Updates:     Ensure all cash received is promptly posted to Navision and
    maintain robust governance and audit trails for all bank transactions.
  • Efficiency
    Improvements:     Target efficiency improvements in all processes,
    allowing more time for value-added finance work.
  • Team
    Collaboration:     Assist Accounts Payable with payment runs, process ad
    hoc payments, create new vendor details in Navision, and support other
    team members as needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



  • Experience of managing cash and bank reconciliation
    processes for multiple companies across multiple bank accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ERP software, particularly Navision
  • Multi-site retail or hospitality experience is a
    preference
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the
    ability to switch between a commercially diverse range of entities and manage
    multiple deliverables.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player
