About the Role
Our client is seeking a Business Insight Analyst to join their Finance Systems and BI team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing insightful reporting and analysis, enabling data-driven business decisions.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing large data models and translating them into feature-rich business insights. You will utilise the latest tools and techniques available on the company's cutting-edge data platform to deliver results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining the Looker reporting suite
  • Handling support requests and assisting with data queries and analysis
  • Providing first-line support for Looker development, maintenance, and query resolution
  • Managing a support channel and creating/managing tickets in Jira
  • Identifying trends and outliers in data and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Developing data packages, reports, and visualisation dashboards for the BI suite
  • Training and guiding finance colleagues to improve their understanding of reporting and enable self-service analysis

This role is ideal for someone passionate about data and eager to improve data-driven decision-making across an organisation.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience with enterprise-level BI data platforms, SQL, and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
  • A strong passion for data and collaboration, with the ability to add value through data analytics
  • Experience partnering with business teams to develop meaningful metrics and insights
  • Proven ability to create and optimise reports or dashboards that drive performance
  • A self-driven approach, using data, analysis, and business acumen to identify opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience with Google BigQuery, Looker, DBT, GitHub, Tableau, or Qlik would be a plus, but not essential.
