POSITION DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

To support the growth of NTT DATA Business Solutions UK (NDBS), there is a need to augment the EPM team with additional high quality and experienced consulting skills. The EPM Architect is a senior role within the Consulting Practice with responsibility for the design and delivery of SAP Finance solutions that meets the needs of our customers in relation to accounting and financial close through to financial planning and analysis. You will work alongside the project management and delivery teams ensuring that your solutions align and integrate within contracted technical specifications and NDBS/client IT strategy to deliver the intended and expected results. Your consulting skills will be developed further within the EPM space, and you will become an integral part of our consulting team, helping to build key relationships, design and deliver best practice and custom solutions that resolve client technical challenges and ensure reference-able projects to provide the base for the development of the practice.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The NDBS SAP EPM Architect will have a strong background in Finance and Accounting with good understanding of accounting principles, financial & operational planning, and management reporting processes, along with a demonstrable technical expertise and experience with SAC, SAP Group Reporting and SAP BPC solutions. Strong understanding of financial consolidation and statutory reporting is a requirement along with experience in monthly and annual financial reporting processes and a good understanding of the Record to Report process. The Finance EPM Architect takes ownership of consulting and client activity by advising, defining and delivering solutions to meet client expectations and contracted terms. Act as the design authority and quality assurance on the Finance EPM work stream of projects in which you are involved whilst working closely with other functional and technical work stream leads and enterprise architects to ensure an optimal and fully integrated solution is delivered successfully to our client in line with their requirements. They are also a proficient specialist, recognised as a leader in their area who provides subject matter expertise to the business and client base and assist in developing and mentoring others and innovating NDBS propositions. Consultants are focussed on delivering sales revenue through delivering personal and company utilisation targets. The Consultant also assists in proposition development, IP development, and supporting and attaining winning bids.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

To achieve success, it is critical that the consultant delivers on the following accountabilities: -

Client Consulting:

Delivers consulting solutions in the Finance Practice, specifically the SAP EPM area, against contractual and project requirements Advises and defines Planning and Consolidation processes and solutions by helping to solve business and technical challenges leveraging the SAP EPM platform.

Provides specialist subject matter expertise in line with the solution.

Takes total ownership for the delivery of solutions and value to the customer by leading projects and project teams. Consulting Team Player:

Acts as a specialist within the consulting group by attaining and sharing best practice, knowledge and skills.

Leads by example and is a mentor to less experienced team members to support their professional development and personal performance.

Maintains an up to date knowledge and zest for the latest trends and utilises this understanding to bring innovation to NDBS development. Key performance indicators (managed through performance and development plans):

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of financial consolidation and statutory reporting. Demonstrable experience in monthly and annual financial reporting process. Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial & operational planning and management reporting processes. It would be expected that the successful candidate will have 5 – years or equivalent of industry experience. Should be experienced in project planning and delivery, this includes gathering process requirements and delivering design workshops and validating documentation. Should be adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams, developing and maintaining strong business relationships and managing delivery teams through complex SAP Finance EPM projects, with the goal of always providing real value to our clients. They should have obtained Professional Accounting qualification and actively contributed to at least 3 end to end it implementation projects. Has a thirst for learning and staying on top of the evolving technology landscape. Actively shares and transfers own expertise and operational knowledge in a structured method, thus making it useful and functional. Consultants must be prepared to travel to client sites and spend time away from home. Applicants will be expected to be fully conversant with SAP EPM solutions, specifically SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning, SAP Group Reporting and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation.

Technical Must haves: Deep SAC Planning or equivalent solution experience In-depth skills on configuring Planning models, advanced formulas, data actions, calendar, BW/Datasphere data modelling, story creation for reporting and planning and analytics application. Integration from SAC to BW, Datasphere and S/4HANA. Experience of delivering consolidation project using the SAP Group reporting solution.

Technical Nice to have: SAP BPC, experience developing Planning and consolidaiton models. SAP FICO experience, SAP BW experience, good understanding of cross module integration with other SAP solutions such as ECC modules.
