About the job

Zap is seeking a talented and creative Videographer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality video content that engages our audience and effectively communicates our brand message. You will work closely with both the marketing and design teams to develop visual content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.

Who are we?

You thrive in a collaborative environment, adapting to the needs of various projects while bringing your unique perspective to the table. Whether you’re shooting on location or in the studio, you have a passion for producing compelling content that resonates with viewers.

We care less about your qualifications and more about you, your aspirations, your reasons for doing what you do and how we can be a good fit for you.

Requirements

What you’ll be up to:
  • Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit video content to create engaging promotional materials, brand stories, and social media assets.
  • Storytelling: Develop video concepts that effectively communicate the brand narrative and engage the target audience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, writers, and other team members to produce cohesive multi-media campaigns.
  • Equipment Management: Set up and maintain video shooting equipment, lighting, and sound for high-quality production.
  • Post-Production: Edit footage and add graphics, sound, and effects to create polished final videos that meet project specifications.
  • Quality Control: Review content to ensure it aligns with brand standards and adheres to deadlines.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a proactive individual with strong creative abilities and a flexible approach to work. We look for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in video production, including shooting and editing.
  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Familiarity with camera equipment and lighting techniques for various settings.
  • A passion for storytelling through video, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate ideas into visual content.
  • A portfolio showcasing your previous work is a must.

Benefits

  • Service Bonus of £1,000 per annum paid into your monthly salary up to 5 years / £5,000
  • We operate on a flexible hours system. That means that while your usual hours will be during normal business hours, you have plenty of flexibility within that. Want to take a long lunch break? No worries. Do your best work at 6 am? Go for it.
  • We’re a fully remote team, so no 8 am commutes into work
  • Work hard, play hard - we offer a minimum of 34 holidays a year (2 weeks of which can be taken over Christmas)
  • You’ll also get an extra day off for your birthday, so no awkward work birthday parties
  • We have a monthly all-team meeting, which ends in a monthly all-team social
  • We supply any remote working tools and equipment you need

  • We’re a pension-providing employer
What’s next?

We know what it’s like not to know what’s going on with a job application. Here’s how our hiring process usually works:

  • We’ll review your application and CV
  • If we like what we see, we will set up a quick call to find out a bit more about you and answer any of your questions
  • If we like what we hear, we’ll set up another interview with our senior leadership team so we can ask you hard questions about yourself
  • As long as everything goes well, we’ll send you an offer
