We are looking for someone who has the aptitude to assist the Estates Senior Operations Manager, working as a valued member of the Estates Department. Main duties of the job
To assist in the maintenance and repair of installations, plant, and equipment to include minor plumbing, mechanical and electrical tasks and assist building trades where appropriate.
This is an opportunity for you to attend and pass the Level 2 apprenticeship which will be over 3 years to complete, culminating with the Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship (Level 2).

oMinimum entry level 3 or GCSE grade D in Maths and English oUK driving licence Category B oShows a desire for the engineering sector and a passion to prove themselves in a team and individually on the Level 2 driving licence Category B oIT literacy or willing to train to ECDL level 2 standard (use of Microsoft Office suite).Knowledge of/readiness to undertake training on and use of the Trust's computer-based asset and condition-based maintenance management system. oKnowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace. oGood organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload to meet specific deadlines. oA commitment to customer care and an ability to communicate effectively.
Desirable
oKnowledge of ACOP L8, Health and Safety at Work Act, Manual Handling, COSHH Regulations would be beneficial. oPost holder should have knowledge and/or experience of mechanical equipment planned maintenance and breakdowns, preferably in a large organisation such as a hospital. oMemoranda and Trust policies, basic life support and emergency aid and where required a readiness to train.
