Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Community Learning Disabilities Team for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian to work as part of our well-established service. The Community Learning Disabilities Team strives to improve the health and well-being of service users with Learning Disabilities across Leeds.
Working as a dietitian in this area is an important, highly valued and rewarding role, with many of the physical health inequalities experienced by people learning disabilities being directly aligned with the role of the dietitian.

The Learning Disabilities dietetic team is made up of Band 7 Clinical Lead, Band 6 and 5 practitioners and Dietetic Associate Practitioners.
The service runs Monday to Friday 9 to 5. All team members have access to full remote technology (phones and laptops) to support smart ways of working. Learning Disability services are adaptive in safely and effectively meeting the needs of our service users and carers.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining an innovative and growing Trust wide dietetic community of 25 Dietitians and Dietetic Associate Practitioners, with professional leadership from our Principal Dietetic Practitioner and Professional Leads for AHPs. So, if you are a Dietitian interested in supporting people under a holistic health and social model of care working closely with the MDT to advocate the physical health needs of this vulnerable client group this could be the post for you.
