Are you an experienced Administrator looking to advance your career? Join Howdens as a HR Administrator where you will be part of a dedicated team who are responsible for providing a first-class HR administration service to the business. This role is a full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract based in our Croxley Green office, in Hertfordshire with some home working. 

This role would suit someone who has previous experience of working as an Administrator in a fast-paced commercial environment, who is used to working to strict deadlines and takes pride in providing excellent service and accuracy of their work. 

What will I be doing as a HR Administrator?

Providing a first-class advice and administration service to our Support functions and Depots. Ensuring legal compliancy for all processing including GDPR. Processing incoming correspondence and managing a busy HR Outlook mailbox. Providing HR systems advice and guidance to managers. Accurately maintaining the department’s paperless document management system. Producing daily/weekly and ad hoc reports from the HR system often requiring additional work using formulas and VLOOKUP in Excel. Escalating or referring complex issues and cases to the relevant internal teams. Liaising with other business departments including Payroll to ensure that queries and questions are speedily and accurately addressed.

What do I need to qualify for this HR Administrator role?

Previous administration experience gained working in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter with the ability and desire to deliver a first-class administration and telephone support service. Highly organised with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent letter writing skills. Ability to work well under pressure, plan and prioritise workload and process high volumes of data including starters, changes, and leavers. Excellent telephone manner and general communication skills both written and oral. Team player with flexible attitude to quickly respond to changing priorities. Excellent IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
