About therole

We are looking for aproactive and positive Commercial Lawyer to help advise on a widerange of legal matters associated with our global activities. Thisis a broad and exciting role with exposure to many differentjurisdictions. You will have the opportunity to gain experience ina wide variety of legal disciplines including mergers andacquisitions company law contract reviews software technologyintellectual property disputes claims andinsurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Draftreview negotiate and advise on a variety of complex commercialcontracts which may include distributor or dealer agreements supplycontracts procurement agreements and aftersales service agreementsetc.
  • Cooperate with thebusiness team to prepare for the public procurementprocedures.
  • Provide legaladvice to business managers to ensure that legal issues areidentified and resolved and that legal risk is managedappropriately.
  • Handlelegal disputes including coordination of litigation/arbitrationprocedures and collaboration with externallawyers.
  • Provide supporton legal compliancematters.
  • Summarizepotential risks of current business activities and provide trainingto the businessteam.
  • Liaise and cooperatewith the legal team in theNetherlands.

Requiredskills qualifications andexperience:

  • NewlyQualified (NQ) solicitor 3 years PQE (Post QualificationExperience). Or equivalent experience of professional legalrelevant experience either in private practice with a reputablenational firm orinhouse.
  • Experience inprivate practice and in the automotive industry is a strongplus.
  • Experience incommercial contract matters corporate law and legalcompliance.
  • Goodcommercial/transactional negotiation skills particularly incrosscultural and multijurisdictionaltransactions.
  • Able todevelop and implement legal strategies andsolutions.
  • Demonstrateexcellent analytical skills precise and able to multitaskeffectively.
  • Proactivediligent team player and able to workindependently.
  • Excellentcommand of English both verbally and in writing knowledge ofChinese is a plus.
