Special Education Teacher (SEN)

 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) to work within a local school in the Cardiff Area. This school delivers specialist and tailored education to children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

 

The ideal applicant:

The school are looking for a Teacher which is pro-active, passionate about education and making a difference, as well as having a positive attitude towards learning and others.

This role requires a resilient and organised individual as you will be working in a busy environment where not every day is the same. You will need to navigate the classroom with Learning Support Assistants and direct them where needed for their requirements throughout the day. This will be dependant on the Individual Education / Development plan provided for each pupil.

The individual successful for this role will need to be able to commit to full time hours (8:30 – 3:30, Monday to Friday) and be able to commute to Cardiff. They will of course also require a qualification or equivalent in the UK to a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).

 

The school:

The school is situated within Cardiff and tailors specialist education for children aged 3 – 19. The school is well known for it’s excellent attitude, pro-active approach and outstanding results over the decades it has been operating.

They adopt an approach which offers equal opportunities and education to every child as they have a true belief that every child deserves an education to reach their full potential. Every child is different and should have their education tailors to their abilities, understanding and approach towards education as a whole.

 

Working in the school via Teaching Personnel:

Working with Teaching Personnel gives you the perfect opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ as we have the ability to set up trial days in the school, give you the opportunity to shadow someone already in the role and provide you with the training needed to excel in your role.

We are your introduction to the school as well as your additional layer for support and guidance when in the school. We will help you with the onboarding process with a personal mentor, as well as regular contact throughout your placement at the school.

 

Additional information:

Pay - £157.66 per day (Prior to Agency Workforce Regulations (AWR) being put in place)

Location – Cardiff

Date commencing – 2nd September 2024

Contract type – Temporary with the opportunity for a Permanent contract offer (performance dependant)

Hours – 8:30 – 3:30 (With full PPA time required on timetable)

Qualifications required – Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK
