The Role:

Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join our Design team in Gosport.

Key responsibilities for the CAD Technician role include but are not limited to:

·Creates specification documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe creative suites. Responsible for gathering and summarising data for manufacturing and technical reports

·Supports the technical collaboration of product requirements using a variety of methods such as CAD creation/amendments, Product construction and technical information to express requirements clearly and succinctly.

·Manages workload to allow consistent flow of Product lifecycle manufacturing process to meet target delivery dates.

·Create and manage tech packs by effectively utilising a local document management system (PLM & SharePoint) for inhouse and manufacturer technical reference.

·Create and maintains technical documents and/or user documentation to a high standard, ensuring appropriate and effective use of language, on-time delivery and processes are followed.

·Creates appropriate backup files using SharePoint to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.

·Ability to follow set brief requirements, working cross functionally on tasks and projects meeting deadlines set.

·Collaborate and communicate within and team environment with ease and identify opportunities for improvement.

·Reviews non-compliance quality issues with the Audit, Design and Production team and finds solutions to ad hoc problems with written product materials, requiring detailed feedback with design engineers, internal customers and, potentially, external customers.

About You:

Essential criteria:

2 – 5 years work experience in product or garment wear

Skills:

Adobe suite

Adobe Illustrator

Microsoft office

Understanding of Gerber or PLM (desirable)

Qualifications:

College A levels or BTEC in relevant degrees Or under graduate degrees
