Visitor Services Officer

About the Role:
As part of our fantastic Visitor Services team here at Cruachan you’ll prepareand serve a range of snacks, meals and beverages whilst maintaining high standardsof hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and cafe areas.

You will also help across other areas of the visitors’ centre during busyperiods such as the reception area and gift shop.

As an ambassador for Drax here at Cruachan, you’ll be projecting our brandimage to our visitors. You’ll meet and greet all visitors to ourincredible site and warmly welcome them to Cruachan, always putting thecustomer journey at the heart of what you do.

You’ll support and look after any customer issues efficiently and effectively,as well as maintaining our cafe bookings via diary systems.
Fulltraining will be provided for the role, and you’ll be on hand to answer anyquestions and queries from visitors.

Above all you’ll be ensuring the safety and welfare of visitors whilst in thevisitor centre and ensuring they have a fantastic experience here at Cruachan.
TheVisitor Centre is open seasonally so as our permanent member of the team youwill work an average of hours per week Monday – Friday, working 9am-5pmin high season and 9am-4pm in low season. You’ll be required to take some ofyour holidays when we are closed during December and January meaning you’ll geta well-deserved long break over the Christmas period too.

About You

You’ll have a fantastic “can do” attitude with a positive energy to ensure theVisitor Centre is run to a high standard – plus be enthusiastic and engagingwith all who visit our centre.

You’ll have prior experience in a customer facing role within the service /tourism industry, working in a collaborative team environment.
You’llbe able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication and people skills, with agenuine belief in the value of exceptional customer service.

Ideally, you’ll be computer literate as you will be operating our in-housesystem and have prior experience with cash handling and recording, includingcalculating daily floats. You’ll be flexible in adapting to differentsituations, with the ability to prioritise and to take the initiative.
Itwill be essential that you are able to attend site via your own means oftransport as our Cruachan site does not have strong public transport links.

Aspart of the role, you will be asked to undertake the Basic Disclosure ScotlandCheck prior to starting with us here at Drax.
