Job Duties:

- Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

- Develop individualised education plans to meet the specific needs of each student

- Deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities

- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary

- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience working with students with SEND

- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

- Understanding of different learning styles and how to adapt teaching methods accordingly

- Proficiency in creating and implementing individual education plans

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional qualifications in Special Education or SEND

- Experience using assistive technology in teaching

- Training in specific interventions for students with learning difficulties

Working Conditions:

- Work in a learners home on a 1:1 basis

- Potential for remote or outreach work depending on student needs

- Adherence to agencies policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
