To plan and deliver education and training throughout the Cardiology Department. This will entail the delivery of a variety of education solutions delivered within clinical and classroom areas to meet education requirements of registered nurses and clinical support workers and ensure patient safety, risk reduction and quality improvement in line with the person-centred agenda and service improvement. It is expected that the post holder will be flexible and work across professional and team boundaries and assist with the teaching on the cardiology courses run by the CET. The expectation would be to work clinically using teachable moments where possible to support staff education needs and in an non clinical education role, with an approximate split of clinical 75%, education 25%

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
