Role Purpose

To provide Transmission Network Design & Capacity Management across Secure Sectors Core & Access network infrastructures. 

What you'll do

Working with Vodafone technical teams to, deliver and maintain a core network. Network design, including availability calculations, supporting with the creation of High- and Low-level design documents. Working with internal technical, PMO & Operational teams to deliver solutions and designs into build & operational teams.  To provide technical support/assistance on all Vodafone Secure Sector transmission platforms, ownership of escalated issues and drive to resolution. To provide Network design and build support for low-speed data services on Customer Specific Networks

Who you are

Demonstrable use of Capacity Management principles in line with the ITILs model to deliver a Capacity Plan for a large DWDM network.  An in-depth technical working knowledge of large Transmission DWDM network infrastructures with proven experience delivering: Planning guidelines Methods of Procedure High/Low Level designs Knowledge of: DWDM/OTN principles Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching Transmission Network Management Systems (NMS) Infinera DNA  Ciena One Control Ciena MCP  Legacy SDH/PDH Networks Primary level multiplex equipment to support low speed data services. Must be willing to undergo DV clearance
