Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our very busy Children’s Production Department as Production Assistant.

This role will work on a prestigious backlist and reports to the Deputy Head of Production, Children’s Production Division.  Key tasks will include costing and processing colour and mono reprints, co-editions, backlist eBooks and some POD along with providing administrative support to the team.

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are Monday and Tuesday. 

Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Keen eye for detail and a good head for numbers
  • IT skills (knowledge of Office is essential and familiarity with Adobe products and Biblio 3 desirable)

 

As an Assistant role, this position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
