Reporting to: Principal Clinical Data Scientist

Team: Clinical Data Science Team


Are you ready to make a significant impact on healthcare innovation? As a Clinical Data Scientist at Vitalograph, you'll be at the forefront of developing and commercialising cutting-edge analysis methods for biomedical signals and clinical data. You'll have the opportunity to work on ground-breaking projects involving AI, signal processing algorithms, and the integration of these technologies into commercial software platforms. You'll also collaborate on high-impact academic and clinical research projects, presenting your findings to senior management, clinical trial customers, and research collaborators.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and explore large biomedical signal and clinical datasets, using data modelling and visualisation to support innovative analysis approaches.
  • Develop deployable analysis methods, algorithms, and systems to meet specific requirements, coding proficiently in MATLAB, Python, and SQL.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for the software you develop.
  • Work closely with Software R&D and Data Management teams, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Present your work to senior management, clinical trial customers, and academic or clinical research collaborators, showcasing the impact and importance of your projects.


Educational Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science/Data Science, or a related discipline.


Key Skill Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in statistical/data analysis programming languages such as MATLAB and Python.
  • At least 1 year of experience in relational database technologies such as SQL.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data science/data analysis and visualization projects.
  • Experience in scientific writing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Engineering, Science, Computer Science/Data Science, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured clinical data.
  • Experience in biomedical signal processing.
  • Experience applying statistical methods and reporting results.
  • At least 2 years of experience applying Exploratory Data Analysis and Machine Learning Methods to large clinical datasets. OR
  • At least 2 years of experience with Deep Learning techniques, including CNNs, RNNs, GANs, and LLMs.
  • A record of scientific publications in biomedical signal processing, data science, or related fields.
