Contract Type: Full-time and long term (Monday – Friday)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated full time Teaching Assistants to support a vibrant special educational needs (SEN) school committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment.

This school caters for young people from the ages of 4-16, who can experience a range of needs such as ASC (Autistic spectrum condition), SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), behaviour, language and communication needs, trauma and sensory needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse needs
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help students develop essential life skills and confidence alongside their education

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience with SEN (this can be in an academic setting or personal)
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs are a plus
  • A driving licence is preferred, but those without are still encouraged to apply
  • Care, youth and support experience.
  • Graduates who have studied Psychology and criminology (not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
