Sen Teaching Assistant

**About the role**:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the specialist resource provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH, ASC,and/or challenging behaviour to thrive in a mainstream school environment. You'll work closely with the school's SENCO and teachers, providing one-on-one assistance and facilitating small group activities.
Your responsibilities will include implementing individualised learning plans, helping students overcome challenges, and promoting their social and emotional development. Your caring approach and patience will create a positive and supportive atmosphere for students to flourish academically and personally.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with the mainstream school's staff, fostering an inclusive learning environment and ensuring that all students receive the tailored support they need.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable, but we welcome individuals with a genuine passion for working with students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or challenging behaviour.
- Understanding of the specific needs and challenges related to SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or challenging behaviour.
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with either children or adults with additional needs
