We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teachers to support local Secondary Schools within Teesside. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a strong commitment to teaching and a desire to inspire students of varying abilities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-18.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to the school’s positive culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and KS5 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement and well-being.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
