About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional English teacher to join our dedicated team at Outwood Academy Ormesby. As a passionate advocate for English education, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage our students.

About the Department

The English Department at Outwood Academy Ormesby is a collaborative and supportive team of experienced teachers and ECTs. We are committed to providing an excellent education for our students, and we are looking for someone who shares our vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum plans
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, including the design and delivery of CPD for colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • UK QTS or equivalent
  • Excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
