a) Undertake clinical duties, with relevant training, in some or all of these areas
Cervical Cytology ECG Spirometry NHS Health Checks Post Natal Clinics Wound Care Phlebotomy Ear Care Childhood Immunisation & Travel Vaccination Long Term Condition Clinics Family Planning Advice Hypertension Monitoringb) To actively encourage & facilitate lifestyle choices for patients by providing health promotion during routine screening procedures, cervical cytology, over 75yr check, well woman/men checks, chronic disease management.
c) Use analytical & judgemental skills to assess, plan, implement & evaluate clinical packages of care in collaboration with the patient & other health & social care professionals.
d) Undertake clinical procedures with awareness for potential hazards, risks & infection control policies.
e) Have an understanding & work within Patient Group Directions to administer medication where
appropriate.
2) COMMUNICATION
To communicate effectively using a variety of communication skills; verbal & non verbal, written & electronic, with a variety of patients, client groups, individuals & organisations within & external to the NHS To use effective communication skills with a diverse patient & relative group, using negotiation & persuasive skills to motivate. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time with frequent interruptions and unpredictable workload & occasional distressing or emotional consultations.
