Role Overview

The Head of Computer Science will be responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Computer Science department. The successful candidate will inspire both students and staff, driving the department to achieve outstanding academic results and fostering a love for technology and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Computer Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all students.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, and a recognized teaching qualification (UK QTS)
  • Experience: Proven track record of successful teaching and leadership experience within a secondary school setting.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Computer Science curriculum and current educational best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Attributes: Passionate about Computer Science education, with a commitment to inspiring young minds. Innovative, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
