The Role


As a Senior Communications Integration Engineer, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary providing subject matter expertise to support the technical delivery of secure end-to-end radio solutions in a multi-bearer, mobile environment from design to delivery and transition to service.

Day-to-day, you will: Lead teams or work in collaboration within a team to ensure solutions are integrated and technically leading projects being accountable for their technical success. Independently create and run test plans and schedules and contribute towards strategy decisions. Take existing design documents and read across to system requirements in order to validate the design and produce appropriate test documentation. Deliver demonstration and presentations on technical subjects to senior stakeholders and Industry partners. Identify and resolve technical issues by using in-depth knowledge on communications principles.


This role is a full-time position based at our Portsdown technology park site and is fully on-site.

Essential experience of the Senior Communications Integration Engineer:

Qualified to a degree level in a relevant subject or extensive experience in the communications Industry. Experience providing technical leadership with demonstrable experience speaking to stakeholders. Strong knowledge on military communication systems and utilising the full frequency spectrum. In depth knowledge of commercial telecommunications technology such as microwave, Wi-Fi, 4G and LTE. Proven experience conveying complex information to non-specialist audiences.

 
Qualifications for the Senior Communications Integration Engineer:
A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent field) or relevant technical experience.
