Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons to students aged 11-16.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons to students of all abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is being delivered effectively.
• Contribute to the development of the PE department.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the PE curriculum.
• Experience of teaching PE at secondary level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of leading a PE department.
• Experience of teaching GCSE and/or A-Level PE.
• A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in PE or a related subject.
