We are hiring a Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team in our Didcot office.

Let's talk about the role:

The primary role of Supply Chain function is to be responsible for all operational activities including key deliverables such as planning and analyzing resources and ensuring items are packaged according to specifications. Coordinating import and export. Performing distribution center/warehousing processing and distribution of orders. Developing & maintaining master schedule, pertaining to transport and cost effectiveness. Maintaining inventory levels. Identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels.

Let’s talk about responsibilities:

Direct contact for all internal and external related warehouse queries Organization and control of inbound, storage, pick & pack and ship Control Optimization of work processes and productivity in warehouse taking into account cost aspects, compliance with quality guidelines and customer satisfaction Maintain a safe, clean & tidy working environment. Management of warehouse staff including vacation planning, motivation and team development Manage all training issues and ensure they are resolved. Manage all the working procedures for warehouse and transport operations and make them readily available. Participate and/or lead projects that will drive continuous improvement. Organization, moderation and leadership of regular team meetings Carry out cycle Counting Supervise the procurement & rotation of stock. Manage all the consumables and ensure they are regularly available from suppliers. Maintain an efficient and well-structured organization of the warehouse. Close and successful collaboration with other departments, especially Sales/Marketing, Customer Service and Technical Services When needed, supports other positions within Operations through active cooperation, especially in matters of logistics. Point of contact in relation to Health & Safety


Let’s talk about qualifications and experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse and transport procedures Proven project management experience Hands-on leader with previous experience managing a team. IT skills: MS-office and Oracle Analyzes data from which answers can be readily obtained. Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience in the handling / storage of medical products is a plus. Ability to communicate in an open, candid, and direct manner. Capacity to delivers timely and appropriate feedback to team members, share new learning, and obtains necessary resources for team to work effectively. Business acumen: take relevant action(s) where performance can be improved or cost’s reduced and makes effective decisions based on relevant data and area of expertise Ability to work as a team: identifies and helps resolve issues which detract from team performance, effectively balances diverse or conflicting interests Strong leadership: fosters enthusiasm and commitment to the team’s shared direction, continuously measures and communicates team progress. Customer focused: demonstrates commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs, committed to providing a high quality of services. Ability to innovate: incorporates new ideas into current practices and area of expertise, seek opportunities to learn and develop within current role Interpersonal effectiveness: takes responsibility for the behaviour of their team, builds trusting and open relationships with others.
