Job summary

We are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants with evidence of with excellent communication and organisational skills.

You will be working within a busy ward environment with the opportunity to further develop your skills and enhance your knowledge.

Main duties of the job

To provide holistic and person-centred care and support community patients in an acute setting. A Healthcare Assistant is a core member of the team delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate care. To carry out a range of non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. Provide compassionate care, to agreed quality standards and in accordance with Trust values.

Essential

Good standard of general education. NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or willingness to work towards gaining this qualification.

Experience

Awareness of the role of the HCA role. Common sense approach when faced with potentially difficult situations.

Knowledge

Essential

Awareness of the role of Health Care Assistants. Experience and knowledge of basic administration systems including Microsoft Office.
