About The Role


East Kent Colleges Group are seeking an Estates Assistant to join the Group at EKC Canterbury College. As an Estates Assistant you will play an active key role in the Estates team, providing caretaking services across the college. The position covers a wide range of services normally associated with Estates functions.

In the role you will be responsible for carrying out unlock and lock duties of buildings, setting of intruder alarms before and after operational opening hours including weekends and will be a responsible key holder. You will also be part of the on-call team.

About You

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious member to our team. You will be able to work on your own or as part of a team, flexible in your approach to tasks and have effective organisation skills and ability to work under pressure.

You will have experience, knowledge, or ability to learn areas around Estate and building maintenance, have good DIY skills, have a good understanding of health and safety, fire alarm and emergency light testing and record keeping.

Whilst experience would be an advantage what is more important is your enthusiasm.

The successful candidate will ideally live within 20 minutes of reaching the campus.
