Overview

Waters Wilmslow are looking for an experienced Buyer to join the team

This position is responsible for the daily management of vendors and procurement of materials to support the Spares and Production in line with MRP, adhering to best practice for price, quantity, and delivery. The Buyer will maintain business relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and escalate any identified business risk and ensuring that suppliers engage good manufacturing practice. Having experience within a complex manufacturing industry is advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities, not limited to;

Procurement activities managed meet agreed build plans / APO and to best in class practices. Evaluate, audit and manage suppliers to ensure compliance to business goals, mitigate risk and timely constraint resolution. Tactical Business reviews within the Supply Chain. On time purchase order delivery. Purchased parts are correctly set up and maintained in relation to price, lead-time and MOQ. Resolution and management of invoice queries. Adherence and operate to departmental processes, ISO procedures and SOX regulations. Progress against departmental KPI’s and personal IDP statements.

Qualifications

To be successful you will:

IIPM Certification, CIPS and / or APICS Certified or equivalent relevant experience. Proven experience in high complexity environment. SAP knowledge. Confident in MS Excel.
