**BUYER - MACHINERY MANUFACTURER - WILMSLOW**

Ready to be the driving force behind our procurement success? We're on the lookout for a stellar Buyer to join our team and shape the way we source materials.

**Your Mission**:As our Buyer Extraordinaire, your main gig is to snag the best raw materials and components, ensuring our production schedule stays seamless and our quality game is top-notch. Cost efficiency is your middle name, but you're not just about saving - you're all about elevating our supply chain game while delivering unmatched customer service. Consider yourself the right-hand to our Procurement Manager, providing the essential support to keep things moving.

**Your Playbook**:

- Dive into purchasing raw materials and components, making sure we hit production targets and overall company objectives.
- Craft plans to ensure purchased parts are not just good but optimal in value, quality, and punctuality.
- Be the savings superhero, identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives like a pro.
- Keep a watchful eye on suppliers, taking corrective action when needed. Regular meetings and benchmarking exercises are your tjing.
- Lead the charge on supplier relationships, making sure KPIs meet business targets.
- Take the reins on the raw materials process and MRO distribution component spend, guiding your team to success.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement improvements and identify areas of risk and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop suppliers through value engineering activities and process enhancements.
- Manage SLAs with suppliers and streamline Purchase Order schedules for a smoother ride.

**Your Superpowers**:

- A solid grip on the purchasing lifecycle for castings and raw materials, MRO distribution types.
- Understanding of procurement in a make-to-order setup with a commercial edge.
- CIPS qualification is a plus, but hey, we value experience too.
- Fluent in the language of manufacturing MRP/ERP Systems.
- Organized with killer time management skills - you know how to prioritize like a boss.
- Communication and negotiation are your forte, and you're not afraid to take the lead when needed.
- Ready to jet-set? Flexibility to travel within the UK, Europe, and beyond is your thing.
- Spot opportunities, initiate value engineering, and make things happen.
- Analytical, presentational, and quick on your feet - problem-solving is second nature.
- Tech-savvy with a strong command of Microsoft Office.
