Security Monitoring Centre now has an opportunity for a  Systems Support Engineer  in Nottingham. The main goal of this role is to assist in ensuring technical systems support and configuration activities are carried out accurately and to a high standard.

Job Description

Responsibilities

- Providing a point of escalation for internal tickets, answering telephone and email queries from other parts of the business.

- Day-to-day maintenance of the company IT systems.

- Stock control.

- Installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows PCs and servers.

- Liaising with third party suppliers and supporting internal projects.

- Creation and maintenance of department documentation.

- Participation in on-call rota on a one-in-four basis outside of working hours, for which an additional allowance is paid. You will be provided with a company laptop and mobile phone for the purpose, which you will be expected to maintain.

- Assisting the IT Manager in his duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge:

· Full IT training will be given. MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA · However, a keen interest in IT is extremely important, and any prior work experience within an IT environment, or demonstrable knowledge, will be an advantage. · There is no requirement to travel.

· Also Beneficial:

Knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows Operating Systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office software Electronics experience Knowledge of TCP/IP networking Any industry recognized IT qualifications such as CompTIA (verifiable certificates to be provided).
