Apprentice Security Systems Engineer

Eagle Automation Systems Ltd is a leading provider of high security gates, barriers, and access control systems with a £8.0M turnover.

We are seeking a skilled gate and barrier engineer with an electro-mechanical background and experience in a service and maintenance role to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be based in the North / East Midlands region, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service and technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Repair and maintenance of a wide range of automated security products, including sliding gates, hinged gate barriers, blockers, bollards, and control panels.
  2. Installation of new or replacement products, as required.
  3. Carry out fault diagnosis to identify and replace faulty components.
  4. Testing of systems to ensure they operate correctly.
  5. Complete a nine-point force test and report any failure to the office.
  6. Accurately complete site-related reports for Repairs and Maintenance to assist with quoting additional works, where required.
  7. Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems.
  8. Assist with business growth by proactively visiting clients and sites to offer our services.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  1. Hydraulic and electro-mechanical experience is required, with a strong technical background and ability to fault find, diagnose, and carry out repairs.
  2. Experience within a remote and site-based role, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Excellent customer service skills, with a full clean license and less than 6 points.
  4. Flexible approach to work, willing to travel within your designated area and occasionally further afield to support business requirements.
