The Head Teacher and Governors of a secondary school in Preston (PR2) are seeking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher on a full-time basis. The post is to start as soon as possible and is temporary but a long-term contract.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Business Studies and Qualified Teacher Status. Both Early Career Teachers and experienced Teachers are welcome to apply.

We are looking for a reflective practitioner, capable of demonstrating initiative, as well as being flexible and adaptable. You will ensure equality of opportunity, irrespective of starting points, to enable all learners to make good progress. Proficiency in IT and excellent communication skills are essential. You will also be personable and approachable and be able to quickly build warm and effective relationships with students, and colleagues in the school. Importantly, you will be a positive role model for students.

The pupils at the school receive a first class education and the exam results are consistently among the best in the country. However, they aim to achieve much more than that. The school is a vibrant and exciting place to be. There is never a dull moment and they are proud of the extra-curricular provision that is available in school, as well as the exemplary pastoral care they offer their pupils. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
